Custom Error Pages
Find out what a Custom Error Page is, what role does it serve and ways to make one.
Each time a page on your site doesn't load, an error message will be shown to the website visitor. As there are different errors, there are different pages that'll appear, but what is typical for all of them is that they're generic and probably shall have nothing in common with the layout of your site, which may be irritating for any website visitor. This is the reason why web hosting service providers have introduced a feature called Custom Error Pages. For a wide variety of different errors, site visitors will see your customized content, which can be informative or amusing, depending on your preference, and that will match the overall style and design of your site, so the pages shall not look like they're not part of your website at all. You may use this option for a variety of errors - 400 (Bad request), 401 (Unauthorized), 403 (Forbidden) and 404 (File not Found).

Custom Error Pages in Shared Hosting
The custom made error pages function is available with each
shared hosting plan that we offer and you'll be able to substitute all of the generic pages with your own with no more than several clicks in your Hepsia hosting CP. You will have to develop the actual files and to upload them to your account, then to set them for a given domain or subdomain through the Hosted Domains section of the Hepsia Control Panel. You can easily do this for every single site hosted in the account individually, so that every group of custom pages will have identical layout as the site it is part of. If required, you can always revert back to a default page from our system or to a default Apache server page. An alternate way to set customized error pages is to create an .htaccess file in the domain/subdomain root folder and to add a few lines in it. If you haven't done this before, you could simply copy the necessary program code from our Help article on the subject.
